We’re recruiting an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join a busy aviation operation at Sydney Airport. This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of ground support equipment – from heavy trucks and pushback tugs to utes, vans, and freight movers.

An exciting opportunity for the right candidate to secure permanency and, down the track, access airline staff benefits that go beyond the workshop.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Servicing, maintaining & repairing ground service equipment (trucks, pushback/freight tugs, cars, vans & utes)
  • Working across hydraulics, fitting, welding, and basic electrical troubleshooting (experience in any of these is highly regarded)
  • Carrying out scheduled maintenance & responding to breakdowns
  • Supporting a critical operation that keeps the airport moving

What’s on offer:

  • $45 per hour casual base rate + OT & shift allowances as required
  • Monday–Friday, 6am–2:30pm with occasional overtime
  • Onsite parking at the Jet Base & just a 15-minute walk from Mascot Station
  • Opportunity for permanency, unlocking airline benefits in the future
  • Work in a supportive, safety-first team environment

What we’re looking for:

  • Trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic (or similar mechanical trade background)
  • Experience with heavy vehicles/equipment, plus light vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, fitting, welding, or electrical troubleshooting (any combination valuable)
  • Fit, reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently

Additional requirements:

• Pre-employment medical & Red ASIC (paid by candidate, reimbursed by client) – can start before ASIC is finalised

Apply today and take your career to the runway – with potential long-term benefits waiting down the track!
